The twinned box is one of my favourites,
and is also one of the most complicated to make. From a single
block of pine, this box is cut, chiselled
and sanded, then stained and finally varnished to produce what
can only be described as a true work of art.
Like the Madonna and child box, the higher
drawer appears to be almost protecting the lower.
The intertwining feature goes towards making this box something
special, and makes a great centrepiece.
